Google updates Chrome to multi-touch in OS X Lion

,
A new developer version of Google's Chrome browser for Apple's Mac OS X indicates the search giant is adjusting to OS X Lion's multi-touch features.

Tech site CNET reported that Lion interprets three-finger swipe differently from Chrome, where the swipe moves back or forward in browsing history.

CNET said Google released Chrome 14.0.835.0 for Mac, which assigns forward and backward navigation to two-finger swipe gestures on Apple machines.

It has also released version 14.0.835.0 for Linux, and 14.0.835.2 for Windows.

Also, CNET reported Chrome's new version also adds support for a new communication protocol for Web Sockets, a high-speed communication mechanism between browsers and Web servers.

But Chrome team member Jason Kersey said in a blog post that the new developer version has some issues, including PDF not working in this particular release
