Twitter report that this site contains more than 4,000 messages per second at the beginning and end of the speech. The death of bin Laden, Abottabad, and Navy special operations forces that killed bin Laden, are among the main topics discussed on Twitter a few hours after Obama's announcement.
Google Trends also reports that "Osama bin Laden is dead" is the hottest searches on the 1st of May in the U.S., followed by several other search items associated with the death of bin Laden.
On Facebook, the page "Osama Bin Laden is Dead" has the 258,400 people who "liked" page, many of them commented about the death of bin Laden. This page seems to have prepared before the death of bin Laden announced, and based on the belief bin Laden is actually dead a long time.
