TO get a good picture in low light is not easy. The result image is often blurred even darker. Here are tips on taking the best pictures in low light by techlicious.com:

Raise the ISO Level

Almost all digital cameras have ISO settings to control the camera's sensitivity to light. The higher the ISO, the higher the sensitivity. Means to reduce blur due to camera shake and take photos in dark places.

When the ISO is raised, it would appear more noise in the photo. Noise is the imperfections in the picture on the areas of solid color. The balance of image detail and noise vary from their camera to one another with increasing ISO.

Optimize Flash

Ideally do not have to use flash when trying to catch the object in low light. However, sometimes a room is too dark to take pictures without additional light.

Use an External Flash

If using the po-up flash on digital SLRs try Lightscoop mounted above the camera to reflect light from the built-in flash to the ceiling for lighting effects instantly.

Set White Balance

When shooting indoors under normal lighting will be found in orange or greenish color photos. Different light sources produce different lighting and camera difficult to adjust to these variations automatically. For that set the white balance manually in the camera.

How to set up a simple white balance. Point the camera at a white surface such as a wall or a piece of paper. Adjust color reproduction. For easier use image editing software.

Use a Tripod

To avoid oscillation at low luminous image results, use a tripod without raising ISO.
